AGC KICKS OFF IT’S BUILD-TO-RENT PARTNERSHIP WITH VERTUS

It has been a busy year here at AGC, but we are super thrilled to finally reveal our biggest Build-to-Rent project launch to date. 

Located in Canary Wharf’s latest district, Wood Wharf, is the characterful low-rise, 8 Water street. Developers, Canary Wharf Group, created this thriving residential community with 174 state-of-the-art apartments overlooking the south dock, quiet boardwalks and floating pavilions of water square.

Behind the scenes, our dedicated Design team have been busy collaborating with Build-to-Rent operator, Vertus. We are pleased to share that the stellar Design team have created three unique and bespoke schemes that fit the premium development; consisting of studio, one-bed, two-bed and three-bedroom penthouses. The total of dressed units stands at a whopping 160 dressed units and three premium penthouses all by the award-winning AGC team. 

Set to raise the bar for the future- our designer, Sophie, has worked closely with Vertus to create spaces that will be unrivalled in the Build-to-Rent sector.

PET-FRIENDLY APARTMENTS BECOME THE LATEST MUST-HAVE PROPERTY TREND

‘Recent statistics show that 41 per cent of UK households include at least one pet. Surveys suggest that Londoners differ from the rest of the country in that they are more likely to own a dog than a cat.’* 

As a result, Vertus currently leads the way with 8 Water Street being the first pet-friendly development in Canary Wharf. Sophie was careful in choosing stain treated durable fabrics, for those mucky pups!

COMMUNAL AREAS FITTED TO ENCOURAGE A POSITIVE WORK-LIFE BALANCE

The communal spaces feature a self-service bar, private dining room and even a screening room. The design has since been tweaked due to COVID-19 to allow flexible, collaborative workspaces and outdoor social spaces that tenants can make their own. As mental health awareness continues to grow - Vertus have been forthcoming in offering a monthly events programme encourage a positive work-life balance.
