As 2021 draws to a close, here at AGC BTR, we reflect on a fantastic year of award wins, collaborations and podcasts. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing, committed team for continuing to deliver on outstanding projects despite the interchangeable challenges due to the pandemic.

THE VALUE OF GOOD DESIGN IN BTR
REPORT

Kick-starting the year, we launched our first BTR report in collaboration with Dataloft. Revealing the latest statistics behind a premium BTR service, our Dataloft report revealed that tenants across the Build-to-Rent sector are increasingly discerning in their expectations and choices and are prepared to pay premiums for products that meet their needs. 

Offering the biggest revolution in the housing market across the UK in decades, our full report is available for you to view. Gathering data from notable industry professionals and further exploration into our definitive BTR offering, all essential information about the future of BTR is enclosed within our report.

UKAA WEBINAR: THE VALUE IN GOOD DESIGN IN BTR

Inspired by our exclusive AGC BTR Dataloft Report, together with UKAA, we hosted our first webinar on why design matters within the Build-to-Rent industry. We were joined by a group of key industry experts to answer questions and explore the data behind the latest report with Dataloft.

HOW WE OPERATE WITH SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES & QUALITY ASSURANCE

Following the latest government guidelines at the time, we safely took a trip to some of our most tried and trusted suppliers to show you first-hand how we operate. Our designers are committed to choosing the most reputable manufacturers, sampling the products in person, and signing off all large and bespoke-made orders with 100% confidence in the product and supplier. Visiting our manufacturers and factories is an integral part of our process. We take the time to follow the journey of a product being handcrafted by our talented UK and European suppliers from concept to completion. 

As part of the British design collective, AGC, we are very excited to continue our journey in becoming a responsible company and actively encouraging the use of ethically sourced products. You can watch the full factory vlog and learn more about our process here.

We strive in surpassing the benchmark for aspirational luxury living in the BTR sector. In April, we launched our very first BTR service offering video. Showcasing shots from the team, factory tours and finally, our project at 8 Water Street touching just the surface of our unique offering. 

A NEW LEASE OF LIFE' WITH DEVERELLSMITH & CHARLOTTE ROBERTSON
PODCAST

In the summer, our Associate Director, Charlotte, joined Nick Hammond, Head of Build-to-Rent at deverellsmith, in #ANewLeaseOfLife, a sub-series of the devcast…podcast. The podcast series is set to help people learn more about how experts of the BTR industry and the alternative investment sectors have climbed the ladder of their professional careers. Touching on our latest projects, the difficulty of installing throughout the pandemic and the future of BTR, the highly informative podcast is available to listen to again here. 

BTR BISNOW CONFERENCE 
EVENT

In September, we joined other industry experts at this year's Bisnow Build-to-Rent annual conference (btrac). Charlotte joined a panel of experts for an insightful discussion about community engagement and mental well-being. The team was also at the conference, complete with a 100% sustainable sofa to illustrate the sustainable practices of each AGC BTR project.

8 WATER STREET AWARD WINS 
PROJECTS

During award season, we announced our first AGC BTR International Property Award in the
Mixed-Use Interior UK Category with the 8 Water Street Project. This award now brings AGC's running total to 8 Property Awards since 2012. In addition, Vertus went on to win this year's HomeViews Build-to-Rent Resident Choice awards for Top London Development! We are so proud of our BTR team here at AGC for contributing to the award-winning 8 Water Street.

Throughout the year, we have had the pleasure of working closely with BTR operators, Vertus, in creating innovative marketing content, showcasing behind the scenes, designer tips, to most recently, our Canary Wharf Christmas guide and Christmas styling tips. From our ever-growing TikTok profile to regularly sharing all the latest news and video reels, keep your eyes peeled for even more exclusive content coming in 2022.
